Many government entities are making the change to the .gov website address to identify themselves as official agencies. The new .gov address will help the public identify our official website and quickly contact employees.
When will this change take place?
The new website and email addresses will go live on Saturday, May 19th.
How will the new email addresses appear?
On May 19th, you will be able to contact employees via their new address: firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note that duplicate names may also include a number (e.g., Jane.Smith2@piercecountywa.gov).
Will the old email addresses still work?
Yes. The co.pierce.wa.us email will continue to work and you will be able to send emails to either address.
How will this change affect County web pages?
Eventually, all webpages will be updated to the new .gov identity. The old website address will be redirected automatically to the new website address.
