Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist
Mark Lindquist is our Pierce County Prosecutor.
He was elected in November of 2010, after being appointed to the position in a bipartisan and unanimous vote of the County Council on September 1, 2009.

The former Chief Criminal Deputy, Prosecutor Lindquist has been with the office for over 17 years and has tried nearly every type of criminal case, including murder, rape, domestic violence, child abuse, drug crimes, property crimes and the Tacoma Mall shooter.

Strong Leadership
Under Prosecutor Lindquist's leadership, the office has vigorously prosecuted violent street gangs with a newly formed Gang Unit, has held accountable the defendants who assisted cop-killer Maurice Clemmons, and has required the Department of Corrections to stop dumping felons from other counties onto our streets.

Vigorous Prosecution
Prosecutor Lindquist also formed an Elder Fraud and Abuse team along with an Identity Theft team. These specialized trial teams, along with the Special Assault Unit, are leaders in the state for successful prosecutions of those who victimize our most vulnerable citizens.

Working Together
Additionally, the Prosecutor's Office works with law enforcement and other partners in the community, such as Safe Streets and the Family Justice Center, on intervention and prevention initiatives, collaborating to make our neighborhoods safer.

Personal Life & Other Interests
Prosecutor Lindquist serves on the Tacoma Community College Foundation Board, is a member of Rotary 8, and is a nationally acclaimed author. He lives in Tacoma with his wife Chelsea and their daughter Malina.
