Welcome to Environmental Service Division of Public Works and Utilities. Environmental Services is comprised of three inter-related divisions, jointly headquartered in the Environmental Services Building in University Place:

• The Sewer Utility provides customers with high quality, cost effective sanitary sewer services by collecting and treating all wastewater generated from County service areas.
• The Solid Waste Management Division provides Pierce County citizens with efficient waste reduction, recycling, disposal and household hazardous waste management systems which protect public health and safety and our natural and human environment.
• The Water Programs Division's activities are designed to efficiently address flood control, water quality, and the preservation of natural drainage systems.
