Pierce County Parks and Recreation Volunteer Opportunities

Pierce County Parks and Recreation offers a variety fun and rewarding volunteer opportunities. Come share your expertise on our Advisory Boards or be a coach in our youth sports programs. If you love the outdoors, our parks, trails, and natural areas are a great way to volunteer your services. No experience necessary, we'll train you.

SPECIAL EVENTS

You can assist with special events such as the Tour de Pierce family bicycle ride, Walk for the Benefits, Fantasy Lights, Daddy/Daughter Dance, Foothills Dash Fun Run/Walk, Parks Appreciation Day, Sprinker Recreation Center Car Show, and our summer track and field meets.

COMPANIONSHIP PROGRAM

Pierce County Parks and Recreation is proud to offer the ' Companionship Program'. This program is designed to provide recreation and leisure opportunities for individuals with special needs and their friends and families.

You can help assist with activities in the community designed to bring school aged children and their families together to promote natural friendships, shared resources, and a sense of community pride.

COOPERATIVE PLAY

Help out with our Cooperative Play family play nights or the summer Kidmobile program. Both programs teach cooperative play games and activities to individuals of all ages and ability levels.

Coaches for Youth Sports
Coach or be an assistant coach for our popular noncompetitive sports programs:

Youth Indoor Soccer (boys and girls ages 4-7)
Youth Outdoor Soccer (boys and girls ages 5-8)
Youth Basketball (boys and girls ages 5-10)
T-Ball (boys and girls ages 5-6
Coach Pitch (boys and girls ages 7-8)
