Legal Assistant 2
Pierce County Superior Court is looking for a Legal Assistant 2. This individual is responsible and varied legal support work for Pierce County Superior Court. They are responsible for performing moderately complex technical work in support of court or legal office functions. The work is largely procedural, and includes public contact some with persons who may have no knowledge of legal procedures. This position does not, normally, supervise others, however, they may occasionally train new employees, and be part of the resolution of unusual or difficult problems. Details or to apply.
Court Appointed Attorneys in ADA Cases
Pierce County Superior Court is seeking to add to the list of qualified local attorneys who are willing to accept appointment by the court to represent civil litigants with eligible disabilities under GR-33. Appointments under GR-33 are nearly always for disabled individuals who are eligible due to severe psychological or neurological impairments and have subsequently been found after an evaluation and review of healthcare records to qualify for court appointed counsel as an ADA accommodation. The court appointment rate is currently set by Superior Court at $85.00 per hour.
