Home of the Pierce County Parks and Recreation administrative office, the Lakewood Community Center contains a large gymnasium, public meeting rooms and the Lakewood Senior Activity Center.

Facility Hours
The building is open for morning drop-in programs at 7:30 a.m. The building is closed for the following holidays:
  • New Years Day
  • Easter
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas

The building may be open for scheduled activities on certain federal holidays.

From I-5
  • Take exit 127 to South Tacoma Way, heading north
  • Turn left at 100th Street (first traffic light)
  • Turn right on Lakewood Drive SW, proceed for approximately 0.5 block
  • The Lakewood Community Center is located on the left
  • Trail parking is to the left of the center

Seeley Lake Park

Seeley Lake Park This 48-acre natural area includes a 1.3 mile walking trail that provides green seclusion with young red alder saplings and in the growing season white snowberries and red and black blackberries. Small marshes appear suddenly amidst the brush and in the winter more of the pond is visible.

Lakewood Senior Activity Center

The Lakewood Senior Activity Center provides programs and events separate from Pierce County Parks and Recreation. For more information contact:
