Seeley Lake Park
Seeley Lake Park

9200 Lakewood Drive SW
Lakewood, WA 98499

Overview

Seeley Lake Park is a small park nestled between a busy street, retail stores, and an apartment complex. This 48-acre park is an urban forest readily accessible by car or bus featuring a 1 mile loop trail and wetlands. The park provides the community a green seclusion with quiet nature walks amongst majestic woodlands in the heart of Lakewood.

The lake is a wetland with fluctuating water levels throughout the year. The natural area is an oak-dominated forest with red alders and cotton woods. The trail circles the lake and is well maintained, making it popular with walkers and runners as it providies an instant reprieve from the busy city.

The park has small marshes that appear amidst the brush with a lot of small wildlife, such as ducks, squirrels, and marsh birds to view. In the winter and rainy season the wetlands may flood and cover parts of the trail.

Location
Seeley Lake Park is conveniently located on Lakewood Drive Southwest, between Steilacoom Boulevard Southwest and Bridgeport Way Southwest. It is just minutes from Joint Base Lewis-McChord and the Lakewood Town Center.

Entrance to the park is through the south parking lot of the Lakewood Community Center at 9112 Lakewood Drive Southwest in Lakewood.
