Beyond the Borders Connector
Community Connections is expanding Beyond the Borders Program with the Connector pilot project - a route service in rural Pierce County. The
Beyond the Borders Connector will help eligible residents access public transportation, medical services, employment, shopping and social activities seven days a week.

Routes and Schedules
Who can ride the Connector?
Senior citizens, people with disabilities and people with low incomes living in rural areas of Pierce County may be eligible.
What does the Connector cost to ride?
There is no cost to riders. Use of the service is unlimited – riders can get on and off at stops throughout the community and ride multiple times each day.
Where are routes located?
- Bonney Lake and Prairie Ridge, with service to Rhododendron Park and Ponderosa Estates
- Sumner, with connection to Pierce Transit and Sound Transit
- Bonney Lake / Sumner Circular, connecting routes to the two cities
- The Roy Y, with connection to Pierce Transit at the Wal-Mart on Mt Highway, and to Yelm, with connection to Intercity Transit Spanaway, with connection to Pierce Transit at the Wal-Mart on Mountain Highway, and the South Hill Transit Center on Meridian
Do I need to make a reservation before I ride?
Yes. All riders must complete an eligibility screening to take advantage of the service.
