Fall Composting Classes
Register for Classes
Do it Yourself!
Produce your own compost out of yard debris or food scraps. Composting returns nutrients to the soil and reduces the amount of waste you set out at the curb.

Classes are taught by compost experts from Pierce County Public Works.  

Recommended for ages 6 to adult. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Classes are FREE. Please register online, or call (253) 798-4133.
Food waste starter kit must be purchased one week before class.

(fee covers the cost of a bin and worms)

You’ll never need to use chemical fertilizers when you learn how to recycle your yard’s waste into rich, organic compost.
