About TIW
The Tacoma Narrows Airport (TIW) is a public 568-acre general aviation facility located four miles west of Tacoma and one mile southwest of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. Pierce County purchased the airport from the City of Tacoma in 2008.

TIW is Pierce County's primary business jet facility. There are 132 aircraft based at the airport and approximately 48,000 operations (takeoffs and landings) each year.

Airport Capabilities
The runway at Tacoma Narrows Airport, measuring 5,002 feet long by 100 feet wide, is capable of handling all general aviation aircraft, from light sport to large business jets. Available aviation support and airport services include:
  • Aircraft repair and maintenance
  • Aircraft storage and parking
  • Aviation fuel and oil sales
  • Avionics repair
  • Charter and business flights
  • Flight supplies and equipment
  • Flight training 
  • Restaurant with observation deck seating
