When no roads lead to where you want to go,
it might mean that your destination is across the water. To make sure there’s a route for everyone, Pierce County operates two car and passenger ferries between Anderson and Ketron islands and Steilacoom.
Pierce County ferry riders in large vehicles - such as an RV, commercial truck or a vehicle towing a trailer - should plan ahead to avoid low tides from May 22-29.
As a courtesy reminder to Pierce County Ferry riders, Peak Season became effective on Wednesday, May 1 and continues through September 30. The advent of Peak Season means changes to both certain fares and to the Thursday and Sunday evening schedules.
