Please note the following office cut-off times for recording:
  • 3:30 p.m. for excise work submitted by title companies
  • 4:00 p.m. for non-excise work submitted by title 
        companies
  • 4:30 p.m. document recordings by the general public

Map Fee Increase Effective August 1, 2015 - Department of Natural Resources is increasing the map fee by an additional $18.00 per map.  The new recording fee for the first page of all maps will be $156.00.  Costs for additional pages will remain the same depending on the type of map being recorded.

Birth Certificates, Death Certificates, and other vital statistics are obtained through the Tacoma - Pierce County Health Department
