Please note the following office cut-off times for recording:
  • 3:30 p.m. for excise work submitted by title companies
  • 4:00 p.m. for non-excise work submitted by title 
  • 4:30 p.m. document recordings by the general public
Recording Fee Increase Effective October 9, 2015 -  HB 2195 increases the recording fee on all documents by an additional $1.00.  Please see fee sheet which includes the new fees for recording documents.  

Birth Certificates, Death Certificates, and other vital statistics are obtained through the Tacoma - Pierce County Health Department
