Treats and toys for 'Bark and Bid' charity auction
kileyIn April, Prosecutor’s Office staff donated two baskets – one filled with grooming supplies galore and the other with ‘toy heaven’ – to the Prison Pet Partnership for its annual ‘Bark and Bid’ charity auction. The PPP rescues homeless animals and trains them to be service animals for those with disabilities. They also provide therapy dogs to nursing homes and individuals, and take dogs to the Boys and Girls Club for reading time. Additionally, PPP operates a boarding and grooming facility to provide female inmates with technical training and the life skills they need in order to succeed after release.
