Deputy Prosecutor Melody Crick honored by alma mater
Melody CrickIn August, the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International honored Pierce County Deputy Prosecutor Melody Crick with its Meritorious Service Award at the fraternity’s 60th biennial convention. The award is one of the fraternity’s highest honors, second only to the equivalent of a lifetime achievement award. Melody is only the 10th recipient of the Meritorious Service Award.

Melody has served as a Phi Alpha Delta district justice for nearly ten years. She is the most senior district justice, and has fulfilled the duties for two other districts that are currently without a justice.

“Service is a large part of my job as a prosecutor, which is why I am involved in an organization whose mission is service to the student, the school, the profession and the community.”

For the 2014 convention, Melody chaired the Audit and Finance Committee, served on the Host Committee, conducted district justice training, and sat on a discussion panel.

In 2010, Melody received the Stan Jones Award as the fraternity’s Outstanding District Justice.

Melody received her undergraduate degree from Gonzaga University in 2001, before attending law school at Seattle University. She serves as a deputy prosecuting attorney in the Pierce County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, where she has prosecuted misdemeanor, drug, identity theft and financial fraud cases. Melody currently works in the Special Assault Unit.
