Facilities Maintenance and Operations Supervisor 2 Needed

Pierce County Facilities Management is seeking a Facilities Maintenance and Operations Supervisor 2 to supervise maintenance and operations of county facilities and properties, associated grounds and infrastructure. This position manages the facilities maintenance program for assigned buildings along with responsibility for budget development and execution. Project management skills are an essential trait as the position manages several minor construction/maintenance projects at any one time.

In addition, the successful candidate will oversee the supervision of skilled and semi-skilled trades county employees and contracted service providers. Supervision of staff also includes ensuring compliance with standards; determining work procedures, preparing work schedules and determining methods for expediting workflow in addition to overseeing recruitment and hiring of staff. This position will utilize the computer-based maintenance and asset management systems to maintain appropriate records; provide required reports and documentation; train staff and monitor to ensure systems are effectively used.
