Pierce County Coordinated Transportation Coalition
Pierce County Coordinated Transportation Coalition

Transportation plays an important role in people's lives. Regardless of age or ability, people need to be able to get around in their community so that they can receive medical care and social services, shop for necessities or visit with family and friends. Reliable and accessible transportation is key to a healthy lifestyle.

The Pierce County Coordinated Transportation Coalition (PCCTC) is a catalyst for change. Members work to coordinate transportation between public transit, human services agencies and private transportation providers. The Coordinated Transit-Human-Services Transportation Plan is the roadmap for building a coordinated transportation system and was completed in June 2015.

Who We Are
The Pierce County Coordinated Transportation Coalition (PCCTC) is a group of people representing human services agencies, private and nonprofit transportation providers, the Medicaid transportation broker, local public transportation agencies, and people who use transportation services.

The PCCTC works to make it easier for seniors, individuals with disabilities and people with low incomes to get to work or school, medical or social service appointments, shopping, recreation and social activities.  The PCCTC develops the local Coordinated Transit-Human Services Transportation Plan outlining strategies to meet the ever increasing transportation needs in Pierce County, including rural areas such as Buckley, Bonney Lake, Carbonado, Eatonville, Graham, McKenna, Orting, Roy, Sumner and Wilkeson.

Get Involved
The PCCTC offers a variety of volunteer opportunities. Our goal is to build a coordinated transportation system that allows people to remain healthy and active and involved in the community. Volunteers strengthen our network with their caring interaction with people. We can accomplish more as a community than we can as individuals! Come share your skills and talents. Together we can build a transportation system that responds to the needs of the people in our community.
