General Information

Club TGIF is a program especially designed for young adults ages 20-30 years who have special needs. Participants take part in personally enriching activities within the community including volunteering and visiting other organizations.

Participants will enhance socialization with peers and community members, increase independence skills, and build their resumes. This program will be housed out of the Lakewood Community Center where attendees will participate in crafts, sports, cooking and other activities.

 For: Young adults ages 20-30 with special needs 
 Fee: $20/day per participant (must pre-register)
 Location: Lakewood Community Center 


Sign up for one session at a time or for every session all at once. Each session of Club TGIF will be limited to the first 10 registered participants.
  • Registration deadline is the first day of each month, but participants can register early for as many sessions as they wish.
  • Space is limited to the first 10 registered each Friday.

*Fee includes all entrance fees, transportation, supplies, field trips and program management.


Parents/Caregivers are responsible for transporting the participant to and from camp in a timely fashion. Participants meet each morning in room #203 of the Lakewood Community Center. Pierce Transit Shuttle services may be available depending on where you live. For more shuttle information call 253-581-8100.

Special Note:
  • Club TGIF is limited to the first 10 registered participants 
  • Participants must be toilet trained 
  • Participants must not pose a threat to self or others 
  • Participants must be ambulatory (the ability to move unassisted using feet, crutches, walker, wheelchair, etc.)
  • Participants must bring a sack lunch each day
