Prosecutor's Office secures grant to fight elder abuse

Pierce County has been awarded $370,985 from the Department of Justice to support a comprehensive approach to addressing elder abuse. The Prosecutor’s Office, which secured one of nine nationwide grants, will team up with local law enforcement agencies and victim service organizations to increase and strengthen training, form a community response team... Link to full story

10 charged for attempting to sexually exploit children

In December, 10 people, ages 20 to 59, were charged for attempting to sexually exploit children. The defendants were arrested during a two-week sting operation, led by the Washington State Patrol’s Missing and Exploited Children Task Force. 2 Graham men charged in property theft bust

In January, 34-year-old Dayin Rex Henry and 33-year-old Shane Bryant Sweetman were charged with multiple counts of possession of stolen property and trafficking stolen property.
