What's Happening
Engineering: We're beginning the preliminary engineering for the project (CRP 5767)

Land: No additional right-of-way from adjacent private properties is needed.

Survey: Topographical survey work at the project site is complete.
About the Project
Planned improvements to both sides of 160th Street East from 330 feet east of SR-161 to John Bananola Way East (CRP 5767) are intended to improve pedestrian access by linking sections of existing cement concrete sidewalks east and west of the project limits on 160th Street East.  Improvements will include the following:
  • Adding cement concrete curb and gutter and pervious cement concrete sidewalks on both sides of the roadway. 
  • Adding ADA accessible facilities.
  • Making modifications to the existing street lighting.
  • Making modifications to the existing storm drainage system. 
Project Timeline
March 2016 to July 2016: Complete preliminary design and right-of-way plans.

July 2016 to February 2017: Complete environmental documentation, prepare construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.

March 2017: Bid advertisement.

Summer 2017: Construction.
