Pawn & Secondhand Sale Reporting Requirements
If you are a business owner in unincorporated Pierce County with a license to sell or issue loans (pawn) on secondhand property, you must follow the steps below in order to be in compliance with RCW 19.60:

1 - Read the Sheriff's Department letter to Pawn & Secondhand Shop Owners.

2 - Review the Electronic Batch File Reporting Instructions and the Single Pawn-Sale Transaction Form Reporting Instructions to select a reporting option for your business.

3 - Owners selecting the 'Electronic Batch File Reporting' option may find it helpful to refer to this properly configured Electronic Batch File Record example.

4 - Owners selecting the 'Single Pawn-Sale Transaction Form' option may copy, complete, and send the Single Pawn-Sale Transaction Form for each transaction per the instructions.

5 - Regardless of the reporting option selected, please refer to the Single and Batch Reporting Pawn-Sale Lookup Codes to meet reporting requirements.
