 Awards as Executive
- Conservation: The Cascade Land Conservancy awarded its Innovative Conservation Project Award to Executive McCarthy and PCC Farmland Trust for their collaboration on the Orting Valley Farm project, which preserves a 100-acre farm in perpetuity.
- Open Government: The Washington Coalition for Open Government gave Executive McCarthy its Key Award for adopting a policy of retaining county email for at least six years.
- Justice: The Young Lawyers section of the Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association gave Executive McCarthy its Liberty Bell award for her work in preserving a position on the Superior Court bench.
