Redistricting

The State Redistricting Commission will soon complete their work and the State Legislature will be poised to amend and approve the new boundaries for Congressional and Legislative districts. And, we now know that Washington?s new 10th Congressional District is part of Pierce County.

We will notify every voter of their new voting districts by April 30, 2012. You'll receive a new voter registration card in the mail. And, we will automatically mail you the correct ballot, with every district that you are eligible to vote on. All of the new district boundaries will be applied for the 2012 Primary election (August 7, 2012).

Redistricting only happens every 10 years. It?s an exciting time for our community, and a challenging time for the Auditor?s Office.
