Overview
In 2007, Pierce County Emergency Management hired a full-time coordinator to work on high risk populations (HRP) planning issues for emergencies and disasters. As well as planning for the Pierce County area, Pierce County is leading the HRP planning for the UASI (Urban Area Security Initiative) area, which consists of King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties, and the cities of Seattle and Bellevue. Below is the beginning of a list of documents, plans, templates, and examples that were either written, researched, or developed to assist in jurisdicitions planning for their own high risk populations during disasters.
