The Construction Division manages the building of new facilities as well as upgrades to existing facilities, from initial needs assessments through project management and warranty issue resolution.
Construction Division
The Pierce County Facilities Management Construction Division:
  • Manages the construction of new County facilities and
    related contracts with architects, engineers and construction companies
  • Oversees energy efficiency upgrades for County facilities
  • Manages large scale remodels and renovations of existing facilities
  • Oversees major building and system component upgrades

The Construction Division provides expert services to other Pierce County departments which include:
  • Design consultant selection and contracting
  • Specifications development and bidding
  • Complete construction project management
  • Space Planning

View Construction Division Request For Proposals

Beginning March 1, 2010 many Pierce County contracts will require contractor participation in the Federal E-verify program.

Vendors and contractors may view opportunities from all Pierce County departments at the Department of Budget & Financing Purchasing page. Opportunities include:

Invitations to Bid for goods, materials, equipment and services (other than professional/ technical) exceeding $25,000 and construction over $10,000 (except Small Works).

Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for Professional/ Technical Services exceeding $25,000.

Small Works Requests for Quotations (RFQs) for construction/public works projects between $10,000 and $200,000.

NOTE: For most purchases less than $10,000, County departments are authorized to solicit quotes directly from vendors.
