How to get a Pierce Transit Bus Pass

Pierce Transit provides reduced bus fares for Senior Citizens who are 65 years
old or older and to people who are disabled. You must show a valid Regional
Reduced Fare Permit when paying a reduced senior citizen fare. Permits are
$3.00.

Senior Citizen fares with a Regional Reduced Fare Permit:
(NOTE: Senior and Disabled fares did not rise on January 1, 2009 - provided you have a Regional Reduced Fare Permit. These fares remained the same.)

  • Local ? 75 cents (regularly $1.75)
  • Olympia Express ? $1 (regularly $2.50)
  • Seattle Express ? $1.50 (regularly $3.00)
  • 582 - Bonney Lake-Tacoma Express ? 50 cents (regularly $1.50)
  • 574 - Lakewood-SeaTac Express ? $1.25 (regularly $2.50)
  • 564 - South Hill - Overlake Express ? $1.50 (regularly $3.00)
  • 586 - Tacoma-U District Express ? $1.50 (regularly $3.00)
  • Special Event service ? no discount/regular fares apply

If you are 65 or older, or have a doctor-verified disability, you may ride for a
reduced fare. Regional Reduced Fare Permits are available at The Bus Shop
Lakewood, The Bus Shop Downtown, and at The Tacoma Dome Station Bus
Shop. Permits are $3. Bring proof of age, proof of disability (or a valid Medicare
card).

Saturdays ? 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Bus Shop Downtown Tacoma

Hours: Weekdays ? 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Tacoma Dome Station North
610 Puyallup Avenue East
Hours: Weekdays ? 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
Photo ID's (for Regional Reduced Fare Permits, etc.) are not available here.
Senior ID's not requiring photos are available.

Tacoma Dome Station South
505 East 25th Street
Hours: Weekdays ? 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
