What is the Farmers Market Program?
The Pierce County Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program provides low-income seniors with vouchers that can be exchanged for eligible foods at farmers' markets, roadside stands, and community supported agriculture programs.

Provide fresh, nutritious, unprepared, locally grown fruits and vegetables from farmers' markets, roadside stands to low-income seniors.
Who is eligible?
Low-income seniors in Pierce County (individuals who are at least 60 years old and who have household incomes of not more than 185% of the federal poverty income guidelines)
When does the program operate?
Vouchers are provided to eligible recipients for use through the end of October, 2010.

Vouchers can be used to purchase fresh, nutritious, unprepared, locally grown fruits and vegetables at authorized farmers' markets and roadside stands.
