Services are varied to meet multiple needs and budgets but are focused on helping users provide accurate and efficient answers to their clients.

GIS Data Construction
The Data Construction group develops and maintains enterprise datasets for our applications. Many of these high-quality datasets can be obtained through a data request via GIS Data Express. The group also provides focused analysis and cartographic products for unique County-related projects and enhance data from other sources for use in GIS. These data are incorporated into the daily business process of both internal and external clients.

GIS Database Management and Maintenance
The Database Management group focuses on managing GIS data in centralized, reliable, and secure database management systems (DBMS) to support high-performance Enterprise applications such as CountyView Pro, CountyView Web, and other GIS applications. This includes updating GIS datasets and metadata from various County departments and other agencies. The group also manages GIS Data Express, an online application where users can peruse the GIS data catalog and make data requests.

GIS Software Systems
The Software Systems group consists of two teams: application developers and enterprise developers. The application development team designs, constructs, and maintains applications to meet various business needs. This includes the collection and dissemination of valuable geospatial information to decision makers and citizens. The enterprise development team maintains the CountyView Pro and CountyView Web applications. They are responsible for the architecture of these systems and conduct research on new enterprise solutions.

Application and enterprise developers work with other GIS groups, Information Technology Services, and clients to implement efficient spatial solutions using the best technology available. They also provide expertise to the greater GIS community in advanced spatial analysis, data modeling, and scripting support.
