The Pierce County Medical Examiner's Office underwent an independent inspection of its system for medicolegal death investigation on October 4-5, 2011 by the National Association of Medical Examiners (N.A.M.E.). The inspection was conducted by Dr. Christopher Rogers, Chief of Forensic Medicine, Los Angeles County Coroner's Office. Full accreditation of the office was granted from October 4, 2011 through October 4, 2016.
