The Pierce County Medical Examiner's Office operates from a dedicated facility, located at 3619 Pacific Avenue, Tacoma, Washington. Construction of this specially designed 20,000 square foot building began in January 1992, with Medical Examiner operations taking occupancy in January 1993. This facility includes:

• Three autopsy stations
• Separate special procedures room
• On-site radiographic facilities
• Refrigeration and freezer space to accommodate up to 55 cases
