CensusView 2000 This is a portal to the Pierce County census data collected during the 2000 Census. Data highlights include information about population, diversity, age & gender, and households & families.

PUGET SOUND REGIONAL COUNCIL The PSRC generates information at five geographical levels; Puget Sound Region, Jurisdictional (counties, cities and towns), Forecast Analysis Zone (FAZ), and Transportation Analysis Zone (TAZ) and census tract. Not all of the estimates are provided at each of the geographical levels. The four primary type of data generated by the PSRC include: Population Estimates, Employment Estimates, Household Income Estimates and Population & Employment Projections. All of the data can be accessed through the Agency's web site as an Excel file.

OFFICE OF FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT OFM generates information at two geographical levels, statewide and countywide. Information includes numerous subjects ranging from population estimates and projections to education enrollment statistics. All of the data can be accessed through the Agency's web site as an Excel file.

US CENSUS BUREAU The US Census Bureau generates the majority of its information from the 1990 Census. The 2000 census information should be released in September 2001. The geography includes census block, census block groups, census tracts and census places. Much of the population and household information is available at the census block level. Information related to income is available at the census block group level. All of this information is approximately 10 years old. Use of this information should be limited.
