Fort Steilacoom Golf Course is a fun, 9 hole golf course and features dual tees for an 18 hole round. The course is built on 105 acres adjacent to the Western State Hospital in Lakewood, Washington on land leased through the state Department of Natural Resources. Pierce County was asked by the State of Washington Department of Natural Resources to manage the site in January 1971, with an agreement that runs through December 31, 2024.
The County has operated the facility as a public course and park since 1971. Join us for the extended golf season we enjoy each year at one of the Pacific Northwest's driest golf course.
