Pierce County Parks and Recreation provides public parks and recreation services to the residents of unincorporated Pierce County. The Parks Department manages 50 park facilities totaling over 4,200 acres, which includes three recreation centers, a sports complex, ice rink, skateboard park, three boat launch sites, trail corridors, three golf courses, and a large variety of passive and active facilities.
Pierce County Parks also manages the location for the Pierce County Fair, two disc golf courses, and a bicycle/motorcross facility. Through Pierce County's Conservation Futures system we manage a large number of passive open space sites.
