No Sun Fun Run event Rain, hail, sleet or snow, the 'No Sun Fun Run' will take place no matter what weather our South Sound winter provides. The run is non-competitive and welcomes all ages and abilities.

Come dressed warm and bring your enthusiasm for one of the first 5K's of the year. Remember, there's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes!

Start & Finish

1 Mile Course: New this year is the 1 mile course! Starting at Heritage Recreation Center, the course will run two times around the outside of the ballfields and will finish inside the sports complex between fields 1 and 4.

5K Course: Beautifully forested 5K course on the Nathan Chapman Memorial Trail are very flat and stroller friendly! Starting at Heritage Recreation Center, the course runs around the baseball fields then heads south and takes a large counter-clockwise loop around South Hill Park and forested wetlands. Then progresses back toward Heritage Recreation Center lower soccer fields, north along 94th Avenue, then west through the lower parking lot (next to Zeiger Elementary) and ends in between fields 2 and 3 inside the sports complex.

No Sun Fun Run event Check-in and day of event registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Heritage Recreation Center in South Hill Puyallup.

Registration

No Sun Fun Run event

Pre-register by Monday, January 9, 2012 at the Pierce County Parks administrative office in the Lakewood Community Center.

Registration Forms must be received by January 9 to be eligible for the $20.00 pre-registration fee. All pre-registered 5 K participants will receive a commemorative race day t-shirt (included in fee) and a goodie bag.
1 Mile runners must pre-register by January 9.
All forms received after January 9 will not include a shirt.
T-shirts will be available to purchase day of event for $10 while supplies last.
