Great parks and programs help build stronger community, connecting individuals, families, and groups through the power of play. Parks provide a place to keep kids active and off the streets.

Parks Appreciation Day Video

Celebrate Earth Day, Arbor Day, National Parks Week and your local parks in one fun event.

Parks Appreciation Day

Be part of a major county-wide effort with nearly 2,000 other people working in their local parks at the same time.

Volunteers are encouraged to carpool to the sites they choose. There is no need to pre-register. Just simply show up, check in with the site leader and start working.

Come prepared with gloves, tools, and appropriate clothing to cut, pull, plant and haul during the three hour time frame.

For volunteer information, contact Cara with Pierce County Parks ccross@co.pierce.wa.us or(253)841-8515.

For a list of additional participating groups and park locations throughout the rest of Pierce County, go to www.parksappreciationday.net.
