Word on the Street: Improvements to 192nd Street East (from 38th Avenue East to Canyon Road East)

What's Happening
We're designing improvements to approximately 0.75 miles of 192nd Street East in the area between 38th Avenue East and Canyon Road East. We'll be elevating approximately 3,800 feet of roadway above the existing flood plain. These improvements include:

• Raising 2500 feet of roadway approximately 4 feet.
• Overlaying 1300 feet of roadway matching the existing road configuration.
• Reconstructing roadway shoulders using pervious pavement.
  

July 2011

• Engineering: Preliminary engineering has been completed.
• Land: No right-of-way acquisition will be needed.

• January 2011 and beyond: Final design engineering and construction have been put on hold until additional funding has been identified.
