Word on the Street: Improvements to 184th Street East (from 82nd Avenue East to 86th Avenue East)

We are extending 184th Street East from 82nd Avenue East to 86th Avenue East. Improvements (CRP 5596), designed to increase transportation connectivity, include:

• Extending 184th Street East to connect from 82nd Ave East to 86th Ave East.
• Constructing concrete curb, gutter, and sidewalk.
• Constructing an enclosed storm drain system as well as stormwater treatment and storage facilities.
• Providing two through lanes.

December 2009

• Engineering: Roadway alignment and profile designs are complete. We are now designing the enclosed storm drain system, and stormwater treatment and storage facilities.
• Land: Additional Right-of-way may be needed for stormwater facilities.

• September 2008 to December 2009: Preliminary Design engineering complete.
• December 2009 to December 2010: Complete construction plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Construction: To be determined.
