What's Happening
We're improving approximately 1 mile of Wollochet Dr NW from 40 St NW to East Bay Dr NW(CRP 5696). Improvements, designed to relieve traffic congestion, include:
- Expanding the roadway to 3 lanes between 40th Street NW and Artondale Drive NW.
- Expanding the roadway to 4 lanes between Artondale Drive NW and East Bay Drive NW.
- Adding turn lanes at intersections.
- Adding concrete curbs, gutter, and sidewalks.
- Adding street lighting.
- Adding an enclosed storm drain system as well as stormwater treatment.
- Improving the existing traffic signals at 40th Street NW, Artondale Drive NW, and East Bay Drive NW.

- 2012, March: Construction resumes.
- 2012, Spring-Fall: Construction continues.

The Latest
- The Utility Window ended on 9 March 2012.
- Tucci and Sons has constructed a temporary signal system and has resumed work on the retaining walls.
- Tucci and Sons is also working on clearing and grubbing, sidewalk construction, curb and gutter, and slope construciton throughout the site.
- Two lanes of traffic will be allowed to pass through the project area.
- Intermittent one-lane alternating traffic will be necessary to accommodate some construction activities.

The Southbound lanes are not closed at this time. However, if a lane closure is needed in the future, the following detour will apply:

- Turn Right at Artondale Dr NW
- Turn Left at 70 AV NW
- Turn Left at 40 AV NW
- Turn Right at Wollochet DR NW

Travelers to and from Fox Island may follow a longer detour route to avoid the construction area:
