Arrestees are brought by law enforcement into a pre-booking area of the New Jail to await the actual booking process. The Booking Deputies fill out a medical screening form, and if necessary, a Booking Nurse checks the arrestee. The person is booked, then fingerprinted and photographed by the Print and Photo Deputy. He/she is given charges and bail amount, and allowed a phone call.
