Recruiters are the first line representatives who attract top-quality applicants for positions with the Pierce County Sheriff's Department. Employees selected for this assignment will visit regional job fairs, colleges, universities, vocational and technical schools, as well as appropriate community and media functions.

The recruiting team will also be responsible for designing and producing literature and displays, and developing a network of contacts throughout the law enforcement, business, and education communities. They will supplement the background investigation unit when necessary.
