Pierce County Sheriff
Do You Have:
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate
- A Valid Washington State Driver's License
- The ability to read and write the English language, as required by RCW 41.14.100
- The ability to pass the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission Physical Requirements
- The ability to successfully complete all Pierce County Civil Service Examinations
- The ability to successfully complete the background investigation through the Pierce County Sheriff's Department
In-State Lateral Correctional Deputy Requirements:
- Must be currently employed, full-time, with a city, county, state or federal correctional agency within the State of Washington.
- Minimum (2) two years experience with the current agency providing direct and/or indirect supervision of adult inmates and not currently on probation.
- Must have successfully completed the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission Corrections Officer Academy or possess an equivalent Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission certification as a Correctional Officer.
