Overview

This project provides for restoring and improving the conveyance capacity of Canyon Creek between 90th St E and 84th St E. A number of creek channel modifications and drainage improvements will reduce flooding within the entire project area. This project will also enhance degraded wetlands and improve water quality.

This work will include construction of a storm water detention pond, wetland mitigation and floodplain restoration site, channel excavation, approximately 1,200 linear feet of roadway improvement, installation of four precast reinforced concrete box culverts, and other work.

The new pond, stream channel, and wetland area will be landscaped with native vegetation and will look natural once the plants become established.
