Surface Water Management Capital Improvement Program staff is committed to improving the stormwater infrastructure that helps reduce destructive flooding. Surface Water Management team is also dedicated to increasing water quality, and to preserving and restoring natural habitat.
Surface Water Management is responsible for researching the flooding concerns of the people and for choosing projects for construction that will provide the greatest public benefit. All environmental issues, the number of families affected, and the overall cost of the project are thoroughly researched and considered. To date, all of the Capital Improvement projects designed and constructed through Surface Water Management have been highly successful in reducing local flooding, improving surface water quality, and in preserving the environment.
