The Chambers-Clover Watershed Conference brought together watershed and water resource managers, scientists, consultants, water purveyors, lake associations, elected officials, citizen groups, community leaders, nonprofit organizations and students wishing to learn more about the functioning and management of the Chambers-Clover Creek watershed. Held at Pacific Lutheran University, attendees considered the past, current and future conditions of this unique watershed, and how to move forward on key water resources management issues.
Conference events took place over two days. Friday, October 5th, consisted of technical presentations on topics such as current hydrologic conditions and management efforts by local agencies. Saturday, October 6th, focused on stewardship and involvement opportunities for landowners and interested citizens. The conference concluded with a field trip, refreshments and ground breaking ceremony celebrating the new Pierce County Naches Trail Preserve.
