The public will have the opportunity to discuss the Draft Flood Plan and Draft EIS with project staff. A court reporter will be available to record oral public comments.

Planning Commission Meeting

The Draft Flood Plan will be presented to the Pierce County Planning Commission and public comment will be heard. The Planning Commission will send a recommendation on the Draft Flood Plan to the Pierce County Council.

Pierce County Council consideration

Date to be determined.

The Draft Flood Plan is anticipated to be presented to the Pierce County Council in late 2012. There will be an opportunity for public comment. The council will decide whether to adopt the Flood Plan.

Past Meetings

Public involvement is a key part of developing the Pierce County Rivers Flood Hazard Management Plan. These meetings were held to share information about the Flood Plan and provide an opportunity for public comments and questions.

Twelve public meetings were held through out the County between March 2010 and March 2012.
