Water Quality & Watershed Services staff support improvements to watershed health by supporting watershed councils in Pierce County. Watershed councils involve partnerships with cities, resource agencies, watershed groups and citizens to improve water quality and habitat, educate citizens, and increase public awareness. We also are integrating and scheduling our monitoring and technical assistance functions and sharing work plans with watershed councils and other jurisdictions within Pierce County watersheds to leverage improvements to watershed health.
