APPLICATION TO SERVE AS PRO TEM JUDGE

The Pro Tem Judge program has been suspended due to budget cuts. Settlement conferences are now being heard by Pro Tem Judges working pro-bono.

Pro Tem Judges will be available upon reinstatement of the Pro Tem Judge program, on a limited basis, to handle various proceedings. Absent approval of the Presiding Judge, only sitting/retired judges can preside over jury trials.

The Pro Tem Judge Program is dependent upon funding which is determined in late November for the following year.

Application Deadline for 2010 and 2011: Suspended.

The Pro Tem Judge Program will accept applications for Pro Tem Judges beginning: to be announced. Applications will be available in Superior Court Administration, Room 334 in the County City Building or are available on this website by clicking the 'Application Form' link shown below.

All applications must be returned to Superior Court Administration no later than close of business (4:30 p.m.) date to be announced.
