A. Subject Matter
This division hears applications for show cause orders and contested show cause proceedings, initial determination of adequate cause on Petitions to Modify Parenting Plans and Non parental Custody Petitions, probates, trust and guardianship, minor settlements, unlawful detainer actions, applications for appointment of a receiver, injunctive relief and restraining orders, supplement proceedings, and vulnerable adult protection.

B. Schedule-Docketing
Matters conducted in Civil Division A shall be heard and docketed as follows:

  • Show Cause Hearings are conducted Monday through Thursday, commencing at 9:30 a.m. The moving party shall docket these matters by e-filing a Note for Commissioner's Calendar simultaneously with a Motion and/or Notice of Hearing and any supporting pleadings, unless it is a renote of a motion or notice of hearing previously filed, in which event only the Note for Commissioners Calendar shall be e-filed.

  • Family Support Division Modification Hearings are conducted every Friday, commencing at 9:30 a.m. These hearings are scheduled by the Family Support Division.

  • Probate/Guardianship/Minor Settlements are conducted Monday through Friday, commencing at 1:30 p.m. The moving party shall docket these matters by filing a Note for Commissioner's Calendar.

  • Supplemental Proceedings are conducted Monday through Friday, commencing at 1:30 p.m. The moving party shall docket these matters by filing a Note for Commissioner's Calendar.

  • Unlawful Detainer Actions are conducted Monday through Friday, commencing at 1:30 p.m. The moving party shall docket these matters by filing a Note for Commissioner's Calendar.

  • Vulnerable Adult Protection Hearings are conducted Monday through Friday, commencing at 1:30 p.m. Hearings will be docketed by the Domestic Violence Office in room 108
