Our Mission

The mission of the Pierce County Juvenile Court is to provide equal justice for those children who come before us, to advocate for those children who have no advocate, and to provide leadership in the field of juvenile corrections and rehabilitation.

About Us

The Pierce County Juvenile Court has exclusive jurisdiction over those juveniles within Pierce County who violate the criminal laws of this State or who are in need of protection and/or advocacy as a result of abuse, neglect, or abandonment. The Juvenile Department is responsible for the provision of probation, court, detention, adoption and support services. To facilitate the operation of these responsibilities, the agency is organized into departments supportive of the overall agency mission statement.
