Recycle & Reduce Waste

Cash payments to be temporarily halted at transfer stations in Pierce County
To further protect employees and the public, transfer stations in Pierce County (outside of Tacoma) will no longer accept cash beginning Wednesday, April 8 until further notice. Major credit cards including American Express are accepted at all facilities.
Yard waste drop-off also temporarily halted
Transfer stations in Pierce County (outside of Tacoma) will temporarily stop accepting yard waste only effective Saturday, March 28.

Garbage and recycling will continue to be accepted. Transfer stations provide essential services to the community and will remain open and in operation.

There are no changes to curbside garbage, recycling and yard waste collection. Customers can contact their curbside service provider to add or change yard waste service.
