If your home or business address is within unincorporated Pierce County and you have an alarm system, you are required by Pierce County Code to acquire an annual alarm permit. The ordinance became effective on January 1, 2008.

As of December 1, 2018, the Pierce County Sheriff's Department has changed alarm program administrators and is now partnering with Alarm Program Systems to administer the alarm ordinance.  Access Pierce County's new official alarm program website to obtain alarm permits and information.  Alarm Program Systems can also be contacted by phone at 1-888-865-9770 Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or they can be emailed at piercecountywa@citysupport.org
